Requirements:
For our pilot program,
scholarship recipients were required to attend Cody High School from 12/1/2008
through graduation, live in Detroit from 12/1/2008 through graduation, complete
the FAFSA application, attend a Michigan public college or university as a full
time student (12 credits or more), and complete our simple paperwork on
time. For the class of 2009, if
FAFSA related grants paid 100% of their tuition, students did not receive any
scholarship award.

Requirements:
For this year, our program was
open to students at Cass Tech, Central, Cody, Douglass, Pershing and Trombly
High Schools. Scholarship
recipients were required to attend one of these high schools from 1/25/2010
through graduation, live in Detroit from 1/25/2010 through graduation, complete
the FAFSA application, attend a Michigan public college or university as a full
time student (12 credits or more), and complete our simple paperwork on time. All graduates from these schools who
completed our paperwork on time were offered a gift package, including those
who did not attend a Michigan public college or university or who did not live
in Detroit.

program is open to students at all DPS schools. Scholarship recipients are required to attend a DPS high
school from 12/1/2010 through graduation, live in Detroit from 12/1/2010 through
graduation, complete the FAFSA application, attend a Michigan public college or
university as a full time student (12 credits or more), and complete our simple
paperwork on time. All DPS
graduates who complete our paperwork on time will be offered a gift package,
including those who do not attend a Michigan public college or university or
who do not live in Detroit.
