This is our
monthly email providing important information to Detroit Public School (DPS)
students, parents, teachers and staff, and others interested in preparing for
college. Please forward this email to your friends and social networks.
Students
who register for The Detroit College Promise scholarship and the adults they
designate automatically receive this email.

A Promise To Keep
We have added
a student promise to our application, "I promise to stay in school, be the
best student I can be, and when I am successful, to return to DPS to help
others." We want to encourage all students to be the best they can be and
pay it forward!

Calling all 6th Graders!
We are now
accepting applications from middle school students beginning in grade 6. We are
working on updating our online application for middle schools, but you can use
our paper application, by clicking here. Please complete this form even if you are not
sure whether you will be using our scholarship or not - it only takes a few
minutes.
Important FASFA
Information
If your income changes, you should change the FAFSA, and send us the new financial aid letter. If the EFC (expected family contribution) seems high, have the financial aid office at your college or university review it.

charts by the end of summer! To view our complete statistics by high
school, visit our News page and click on the link for Number of Scholarship
Applicants by High School, or click here.
