This is our
monthly email providing important information to Detroit Public School (DPS)
students, parents, teachers and staff, and others interested in preparing for
college. Please forward this email to your friends and social networks.
Students
who register for The Detroit College Promise scholarship and the adults they
designate automatically receive this email.
Important Deadlines for scholarship recipients in college
We have
established deadlines of September 15 for the Fall Term and January 15 for the
Winter term for receipt of the scholarship acceptance form and the financial
aid letter from college students receiving our scholarships. We will be
unable to make scholarship payments for these terms for students who don't get
us the documents by these dates.

Attention 9th Graders!
Complete
the online Detroit College Promise application form by clicking on Student
Login on our website.. This should be done by December 1, 2010 for the
graduating classes of 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014, or December 1 of your 9th
grade year for all later classes. Please complete this form even if you are not
sure whether you will be using our scholarship or not - it only takes a few
minutes.

Public Library is serving up cool, fun things to do this summer. Below is a
list of some of the programs your local library branch has to offer:
The
