This is our monthly email about The Detroit College Promise, our nonprofit that strengthens the Detroit Public Schools (DPS) and the City of
Detroit by offering tuition scholarships to all DPS graduates, starting with the class of 2011, to attend Michigan public colleges and universities.  We also offer other support and incentives to these students to do well in high school and attend college.

Surf the Internet for a Good Cause!
What if The Detroit College Promise earned a donation every time you searched the Internet? Or how about if a percentage of every purchase you made online went to support our scholarships? Well, now it can!

GoodSearch.com is a new Yahoo-powered search engine that donates a penny per search to our scholarships.  Use it just as you would any search engine, get quality search results from Yahoo, and watch the scholarship dollars add up!

When you shop at Amazon.com after visiting our Books page, or by clicking here, Amazon pays us an average of 5% of the purchase price from their profits towards our scholarships.  It doesn't cost you anything.

Enroll in DPS and Get a Scholarship

We are pleased to announce the expansion of our scholarship program to all DPS graduates at all DPS schools, beginning with the graduating class of 2011.  To be eligible for the scholarship, the only student requirements are: (a) enroll in DPS from 12/1/2010 through graduation, (b) live in Detroit from 12/1/2010 through graduation, and (3) register for the scholarship online by 12/1/2010 or December 1 of your 9th grade year.  We urge all students in 8th through 11th grade to register NOW, before you forget.  To register, visit our Home Page at http://www.DetroitCollegePromise.org, then click on the Student Login button on the right hand side.  It only takes 2 minutes.   For detailed instructions, click on http://www.detroitcollegepromise.com/FlyerHowToEnroll.pdf.
