The Detroit College Promise is excited to be organizing a team for The Big House, Big Heart run / walk on October 3, 2010 in Ann Arbor, Michigan  This unique event supports three University of Michigan Health System charities through part of your registration fee, and can also raise money for The Detroit College Promise. Our nonprofit now offers scholarships to all 85,000 Detroit Public School students who graduate and live in Detroit, and has become the largest private scholarship program in Michigan.

Come gear up and run, walk or wheel in a 10K, 5K or 1 mile race / event.  The events start at the University of Michigan's "Big House" football stadium.  With all three distances, you will have the unique opportunity of running through the tunnel, under the goal posts and across the finish line on the 50 yard line of the Big House, while watching yourself on the "Big House" Jumbotron screen!

The organizers have generously opened this event to all area nonprofits to raise funds. We at The Detroit College Promise invite you to help us raise much needed funding by participating, not only as a runner, walker, wheeler or stroller, but also as a fundraiser. One hundred percent of funds raised are set aside for scholarships for Detroit Public School graduates in our program.
